Daniel C. Mower, MSNA, CRNA
Board-certified nurse anesthesiologist and owner of Indian Creek Anesthesia, LLC. Ten years and more across hospital and outpatient surgical specialties — and, on your treatment day, one person whose only job is your comfort and safety.
In his own words
“I am a board certified nurse anesthesiologist and am the owner of Indian Creek Anesthesia, LLC. In my 10 plus year anesthesia career I have covered a variety of surgical specialties in hospitals and outpatient settings. These experiences have shaped me into a strong, independent and compassionate clinician.
I pride myself on my work focusing on your overall comfort and safety that is backed by years of safe clinical decisions. Let me be a part of your dental experience to help ease the discomfort, ensure your safety and increase your overall satisfaction.”

Why a dedicated anesthesia provider
In a lot of practices, sedation is something the surgeon manages between steps of the procedure. Here it is not. Daniel is a separate clinician in the room, and monitoring you is the whole of his job for as long as you are under his care — before, during and until you are ready to go home.
That separation is the point. The surgeon concentrates on the surgery. Someone else is watching your breathing, your blood pressure and your comfort, without dividing attention between the two.
What you can choose
- Local anaesthetic only. You are awake and you feel nothing at the site.
- Oral sedation. Medication taken beforehand that takes the edge off and blurs the memory of the appointment.
- IV sedation, administered and monitored by Daniel throughout.
Which one is right depends on the procedure, your medical history and how you feel about dental treatment generally. Tell us at your consultation that anxiety is part of the picture — it changes the plan, and it is a normal thing to say. If you have any sedation, you will need someone to drive you home.
Your medical history matters here. Heart and lung conditions, anticoagulants, diabetes, sleep apnoea and a long medication list all change how sedation is planned. Bring the list. For patients whose medical situation is complicated, Dr. Poovey coordinates with your physician before anything is scheduled, and the anesthesia plan is built around what they agree.
