We take periodontal and surgical referrals from general practices across the Western Slope — and we send the patient back to you for the crown, the denture and the recall.
Where this fits: A New You is an implant and denture practice. Periodontal surgery is something we also do — for our own patients, and for patients referred to us by other dentists — not the whole of what we are.

How we work with you
- Your patient stays your patient. We treat the surgical phase and return them to you. If you'd rather we handled the restoration too, say so — but the default is that it goes back to you.
- You get a report. Findings, what was done, and what we recommend next, in writing, so you're not reconstructing the plan from the patient's memory of it.
- We tell them what you told them. If you've recommended treatment and we agree, the patient hears that clearly. A referral that quietly undermines the referring dentist is not a referral we want to receive or send.
- Urgent cases get seen quickly. Call the office directly rather than emailing if a patient needs to be seen soon.
The specific advantage of this practice: a board-certified periodontist and an implant and denture dentist under one roof. For a borderline tooth, you get one coordinated answer on whether to save it or replace it — with the grafting and the restorative sequencing already worked out — instead of sending the patient to two specialists and refereeing the difference yourself.
Sending a referral

- Email reception@anewyougj.com with the patient's details and your notes.
- Radiographs are helpful if you have them, but don't hold the referral waiting for them.

If you'd like to meet Dr. Poovey and Dr. Yant before sending patients, call the office and we'll arrange it. Most referral relationships work better after a conversation than after a mailer.
